a university.
As one of the largest collectors in the world, Sakir Yavuz is in possession of exclusive works of art, sculptures, antique furniture, valuable Asian ivory carvings, pieces of jewelry and rare pieces of antiquarian books and antique weapons from the epochs:
• Antiquity
• Romanesque
• Renaissance
• Baroque
• Post war period
• Contemporary Arts.
The SayArtsCollection collection currently contains works of art, several of which are Italian, Dutch, French, Turkish, Chinese, Russian, American and German old and new masters. These include paintings by old masters as well as contemporary artists.
Sakir Yavuz began to collect all paintings and various pieces of art on his sporting and business trips around the world.
The numerous acquisitions from renowned collectors – beginning with the first painting in 1986 – as well as personal contact with artists such as THEOS – “King of Actionpainting” enabled the collection to be continuously expanded.
This remarkable collection of valuable art treasures has been made available to students as learning exhibits by the founder of the SayArtsCollection, Sakir Yavuz, for the ATAFOM Faculty of Fine Arts since 2021.
