The importance of education has increased rapidly worldwide. The demands on university education have changed significantly in recent years due to the increasingly converging global markets which placed high demands on graduates.

Modern training is now beyond giving learners knowledge in their subject areas only. It also requires sound foreign language skills and interdisciplinary knowledge. In addition, factors such as social and multicultural competence play an increasingly important role, since the training should raise awareness of other cultures, which creates the opportunity for professional employment in all regions of the world.

In almost every country there are international collaborations to prepare the next generation on education for the increasing demands of the global job market. Unfortunately, the worldwide education systems have so far discriminated against young people with a migration background. Countless international studies in recent years have proven this.

Every fifth student has no chance.

This discrimination is precisely what prompted the visionary Sakir Yavuz to come up with a vision of founding a UNIVERSITY.

Together with a team of experts from the fields of education, business, law, media and technology, the visionary is working on implementing the ATAFOM University International project.

In addition, the visionary Sakir Yavuz has also developed sustainable, multicultural, cross-denominational and cross-gender integrative educational concepts; all in an attempt to see that no person is discriminated and absolute equal opportunity is achieved.

After a long and intensive preparation phase, the implementation of this extraordinary project under the name ATAFOM will begin in 2021/2022.

The name of the university ATAFOM is the abbreviation of Atlantic African Oriental Multicultural.

For the visionary, the modern, dynamic and holistic concept of education stands for the lifelong development process of every person, through which he expands his intellectual, cultural and practical skills as well as his personal and social skills. ATAFOM University International is made up of various faculties, academies and other educational institutions.

The visionary Sakir Yavuz is a cosmopolite and since 1980 has felt all over the world with his family like at home. He has made himself a mission as a Turkish citizen with his partners to provide access to all young people to a university education at the highest international level of education with absolute equal opportunities.

Even after years in Germany and many international projects with long stays around the world, Sakir Yavuz has never lost touch with the culture and values of his homeland and has been pursuing for a long time his vision of founding modern, global, independent universities outside Türkiye and Germany for every child in the world. ATAFOM University International aims to make it clear that the integration of other cultures enriches every society and every person as part of a global society.

And here, we do not expressly mean the disappearance of other cultures through assimilation, but an integration of other cultures that offers space for everyone as a cosmopolitan and multicultural, modern society. On the ATAFOM University International campus, education without borders will be conveyed and lived.

It is an education that integrates instead of marginalizing and in which only the young person’s intellectual abilities are decisive, regardless of their status, origin, skin color, culture or religion.

Our vision of integrity, service, excellence and teamwork is expressed in our “Education for Integration” slogan.

The ATAFOM University International education imparts knowledge according to international standards, and is also committed to humanitarian, social values and real, lived integration with a high level of mutual respect.

ATAFOM University International curricula are fully aligned with American, European, Asian and African academic standards – especially the Bologna criteria.

The students also benefit from stays abroad and thus have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with other cultures and economic systems during their training.

ATAFOM University International is the only pilot project of its kind in the global area to date. Based on the fundamental stipulations of the Ministry of Education of the Central African Republic, ATAFOM University International became the training in full-time, part-time, distance learning, online study, part-time study, dual study, internship, advanced training and in language courses in the Language Academy in 2020 with a high international level Broadcast approved.

His dream of creating a limitless training-practice center began at the time of his active sporting career.

He started making his dream come true at a young age as an assistant trainer. When Sakir Yavuz became a successful athlete, he opened his first sports school in 1985.

In his school, a framework was created for all children, regardless of their status, origin, skin color, culture, or religion, to realize unrestricted equal opportunities in sport. This is evidenced by the more than 21,000 sports students he trained personally and worldwide between 1984 and 2006, many of whom have achieved great successes at the national and international levels, including several European and world championship titles. 

Even after more than two decades as an athlete and teacher who has implemented numerous international sporting, social, humanitarian, and economic projects, after long and intensive and enriching stays all over the world, Sakir Yavuz has never lost the connection to the culture and values of his homeland and pursued his vision of creating a modern international university for all of the world’s youth.

Since the beginning of this century, the visionary and founder Sakir Yavuz has continuously and uninterruptedly promoted the development of sustainable, multicultural, cross-denominational, and cross-gender, integrative educational concepts.

Together with a team of experts from the fields of education, business, law, politics, media, and technology, the visionary worked on realizing his dream of founding an international university.

On the basis of his experiences and possibilities in mental and economic nature, Sakir Yavuz founded the Atlantic African Oriental Multicultural University International “ATAFOM“.

Education for Integration

In addition to conventional studies, the talented ATAFOM students will also discuss decide and be a part of the current social and intercultural issues along with scientific developments in society with professors and highly qualified external experts to guide them so that they become a “think tank” and try to find practical and sustainable solutions for the important issues of humanity.

Education without borders should be conveyed and lived on every ATAFOM Campus. This education should integrate rather than exclude, whereby only the intellectual abilities and the commitment of the young person – regardless of his origin, skin color, culture or religion, or his gender – determine his success.
This form of education is not only intended to convey state-of-the-art knowledge, but is also committed to humanitarian, social values and real, lived integration with a high level of mutual respect.

The content is based on the holistic educational philosophy of the founder Sakir Yavuz. Its vision stands for a modern, dynamic and holistic educational model for the lifelong development process of every person, through which they continuously expand their intellectual, practical skills, their cultural understanding and their individual social skills.
